Sakata Vegetables Europe is focused on the Research, Production and Distribution

of vegetable seeds, business to business. Its customers include growers, plant raisers,

processing companies & distributors throughout Europe, the Middle East & Africa.  

   A world-leader in the field of Broccoli, SAKATA is also a key player in the market for cabbages, cauliflowers, carrots, tomatoes, peppers, watermelons and melons, to name a few.

   It offers over 900 commercial varieties and turns over more than 30 million euros a year.   

SAKATA’s European headquarters are based in Uchaud, in the South of France.

The French operation started with the opening of a research centre in 1998, mainly

for peppers and melons while other crops are being researched across England,

Spain and Jordan.

In October 2003, the Uchaud site expanded its scope and is now the European head office for the vegetables seed business, encompassing a broad-range of functions besides Research and Production:

Today, the organisation, counting over 90 staff, processes all orders and dispatches vegetable seeds to customers in the whole of Europe, Middle East and Africa.
